Dos and Don’ts for Booking Hotels Online

Gone are the days of going to the travel agents or the tourism office to book your accommodation in an unknown region. Everything is only one step away with the advent of the internet. You can now easily book hotels in Kolkata online with a few mouse clicks.

But this doesn’t mean you can blindly book a hotel from any random site. You need to do your research well before picking a hotel. Otherwise, you may drain resources for a room in a dingy hotel at a narrow alley.

Check out these dos and don’ts for booking luxury hotels in Kolkata online and enjoy your stay.

Dos:

• Do check the dates of your arrival and departure very minutely. This is more important if you are travelling overseas.

• Bear in mind the international time zones and date lines so that you don’t end up paying more than required. Going through all the details before hitting the confirmation button is the safest option.

• Before booking a hotel, read the reviews by the previous customers. How was their experience? Did they like the place? Do they recommend the hotel? Learn all about it.

• Before booking a room, it’s better to learn more about the entire hotel. What facilities does the hotel provide? Does it have 24/7 room service? Does it have any in-house catering service?

Also, if you require any specific facility like Wi-Fi connection or an iron board in the room, check out if the hotel offers that. You may also call the hotel reception to learn about it.

Don’ts:

⨯  Don’t book a hotel from any random third party site. Sometimes fraud sites may allure you with  “85% off on hotel booking deals”, but don’t fall in such traps. Rather it’s better to book your staydirectly from the official site of the hotel.

⨯ Don’t merely look for cheap hotels since you cannot complain anything about these even if their  service is not up to the mark. Indeed budget is a crucial concern but your comfort matters even more. So look for the top hotels in Kolkata, if you don’t want to compromise with your comfort and security.

⨯ Location is a major concern when you are booking a hotel online. If you are travelling via flight or railway, you sure don’t want to travel another two hours on road just to get to the hotel, right?

To avoid such exhaustion, better pick a hotel close to the airport or railway station. However, “close to” does not mean that you need to pick a place amidst all the chaos and crowd. A hotel at half an hour distance from these places via car is fine.

Conclusion

After reading such an extensive guideline, if you are looking to book 3 star hotel in Kolkata online, Barsana Boutique Hotel is the perfect destination.

Things to Ensure Before Choosing a Banquet Hall in Kolkata

If you are looking for the ideal venue in which to hold an event or celebrate a special occasion in Kolkata, the City of Joy offers a plethora of options. They come in many sizes, shapes and forms, to suit varying requirements and budgets.

A Broad Range of Offerings

There are thousands of stand-alone banquet halls scattered around the city.  Whether tailored to handle a specific type of occasion – weddings, for instance – or multi-purpose in nature. You will come across multiple such facilities, in virtually every neighbourhood in the city.

These are typical – though not always – plain-vanilla offerings that provide nothing more than just space. The catering, the décor, the furniture and various amenities required, need to be outsourced. However, the management of these facilities may – to varying degrees – help put you in touch with relevant vendors.

And then there are hundreds of event spaces attached to larger establishments – clubs or hotels, for instance. These are almost always multi-purpose in nature. And more often than not, they offer in-house food & beverage options, in-house service staff, in-house resources to customise the décor and provide various utilities and technical amenities as well – again, to varying degrees. It is extremely crucial to book a banquet hall in Kolkata that marks all your check-boxes properly.

All That Is Special about Luxurious Boutique Hotels

For quite some time now, “boutique hotels” is one term in the hotel industry, that has turned a lot of heads, including that of the tourists. But not many people are able to clearly state what exactly makes a boutique hotel different from others. Some say it is about the comfort that they get there, while the others talk about their excellent service and food. However, there are a few basic factors that make boutique hotels special. They are:

Boutique hotels are made with a theme in mind: All boutique hotels are different yet have one thing in common- their love for themes. These boutique hotels have a statement of their own, which they maintain throughout the hotel. Not one single piece of item or color in the hotel will be different than the theme. A few boutique hotels replicate the ambiance of a geographical location; while the others stick to a more modern and abstract idea. For example, Barsana, a boutique hotel in Kolkata, provides a grand feel to its guests whenever they enter the hotel.

They have an individual design and space: Boutique hotels are all about their unique individuality. Even if there is a chain of boutique hotels, all of them will be following the same thing and providing the same amenities to their guests.

Limited rooms: The one part that makes boutique hotels worth it is the personalized service that every guest gets from them. A significant reason for such is that each boutique hotel has a maximum of 100 rooms.

Each room is different from the other: The fact that there is less number of rooms means that the hotel authorities have the time to enhance every single room differently. Apart from the USP of the hotel, which has to remain constant, every room looks and feels different from each other.

State of the art architecture as well as amenities: Keeping the theme in mind, all boutique hotels sport a wonderful architecture to match the theme of the place. Boutique hotels come with facilities that are not available in other hotels. These hotels provide bathrobes, bathtubs, slippers, minibars, and even Jacuzzi in a majority of their rooms. The hotels have high-speed internet and smart gadgets that make the guests feel at ease. An upscale accommodation and excellent room service make boutique hotels one of the most sought after hotels in today’s time.

World cuisine serving restaurant: At a hotel where so many features are available, boutique hotels also own in-house restaurants which serve lip-smacking world cuisine. The menu ranges from being completely non-vegetarian restaurants to 100% vegetarian restaurants as well.

Affordable price point: The best part about a luxurious boutique hotel is the fact that they provide all such services but at a very affordable price point. That is why these luxurious boutique hotels are unique and better than traditional hotels in so many ways.
